In August of last year, Susan Polgar filed a lawsuite against the United States Chess Federation for $25 million dollars (has dropped to only $10 million dollars). As a result, the USCF has ween to a four day work week (with Friday off).
Here's a letter from the USCF Executive Director Bill Hall: http://members.cox.net/arlingtonchessclub/LDF_Quick.htm
The lawsuit was filed by Sam Sloan--a former board member--who accussed Susan Polgar and her husband, Paul Trong of posting inflammatory remarks about him.
While I don't know Sam Sloan very well, I know enough about him to say this guy is nutts! I remember two or three years ago when he was running for Executive Board of the USCF. This guy is lawsuit happy. He'll drop a lawsuit at the "drop of a hat." While I don't put much trust in Wilkepedia, here's some info on Sam Sloan: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sam_Sloan
I personally believe nothing will come of the lawsuit and that Susan Polgar and her husband will be vindicated. What do you think?
