Unsolved Mysteries of the Past

In the early 1970s, I picked up a book at the town library called "Chariots of the Gods."  The book was written by a German author named Erich Von Daniken and has since become a classic.  His work was truly groundbreaking as he was the first to suggest that ancient Earth was visited by aliens.  It was an interesting book although some of the ideas seemed far-fetched to me.

For years and years, people tried to discredit Von Daniken's theories.  They made him seem like a nut to think of such things.  I didn't hear from Von Daniken again for probably almost 30-35 years.  I thought he was dead.  However, recently I saw him being interviewed on television.  He explained that he came under attack by opponents for writing information that was not true.  Von Daniken said that he was only asking questions in his book and not necessarily stating facts. But, let me tell you.  He asked some excellent mind-probing questions that forever changed our view on the subject.  He will make you think and that's guaranteed.

He's got a new book that just came out.  It is called "Unsolved Mysteries of the Past."  I recommend anything by Von Daniken.  He is certain to raise mind-probing questions.  That's for sure.  I'll have to go to the store and check it out.
