I stepped outside to walk my dog on Saturday afternoon. To my left were two gangbangers sitting in a truck. They were getting ready to speak to me when a Jamacian guy who lives in the apartment came around from behind them and said, "I'm the one." Apparently these guys thought I was to sell them drugs! Maybe they thought my dog was just a clever cover. Much to my surprise they exhanged the drugs and money right in front of me on the sidewalk. I pretented not to see, but how could I not see it. It was right in front of my face. No, I'm not fool enough to write license plates numbers down and call the cops! Such an action could put me in jeopardy especially since I was right there.
Last night at approximately 10:00 pm I stepped outside to take my trash out. Surprisingly, I stepped right into a police dragnet. The building and apartment complex was surrounded by police with yellow tape roping off a large area. I quickly ran back inside. I'm not sure what happened but I'm sure it wasn't good.
Only a few minutes ago, I witnessed another domestic argument between husband and wife. This was the third one I've seen in the last three days. Are people at the breaking point with the economy? It sure looks like it.
I hope Obama stops playing golf and gets to work. We need a little bit of that hope and change he promised.
Cheers
Paul

Here's a little update on the incident at 10:00 pm Sunday night. Five gunshots were fired (around the area where the drug dealing is going on). I'm not sure if anyone got hurt, but I heard talk of blood. Guess I should buy a bullet-proof vest to wear when I take the trash out.
