Heightened State of Awareness

Just the other day I was listening to John Trivett talk about his plane accident.  He even mentioned something to the effect of how things tended to slow down during his accident.  He said his whole life flashed before him.  He also mentioned some other very interesting things that happened to him shortly after the accident.  Since my memory is so poor, I wouldn't do justice to his words.  So, I'll just talk about his life flashing before him.

I've also experienced something similar.  On April 19, 1983 I was struck by a truck while I was on a bike.  As I saw the truck swirving to hit me it see that the world stopped.  I didn't have a life review.  My only thought was, "I'm dead."  I took a fantastic blow, but luckily for me I survived with only 100 stitches needed in my head.  When you're 19 years old you tend to bend not break and I was also in great physical shape.

A few years later I heard a hypnotist named Igor talk about heightened states of awareness.  Igor talked about how people who are in very dangerous situations reach this state of awareness.  He even gave me a tip on how to reach this state of awareness at any moment that I wish.  I tried it and it works.

If you are interested in learning how to reach this state then just comment and I'll respond.

Cheers

Paul

  1. Here's a method I was taught. It works for me. Lay down on your bed and stare at a point on the wall. I usually use the corner of the ceiling. Stare at this point with intense concentration. After a minute or two, then relax your eyes. After your eyes relax you'll notice you vision expands far to the right and left. Keep the relaxation going. Next, focus on your hearing. Concentrate deeply until you hear even the slightest pin drop. You are now in the heightened state of awareness and with this technique you can return to it at any time you desire.

Martial artists also enter this state of awareness.
