New Orleans Saints Undefeated!

The New Orleans Saints are out to a great start. It seems no other team in the league can match them at the moment.

As a kid I was a Saints fan. I had the courage to wear a Saints jacket to school every day. Personally, I think the Saints organization owes me money for all the verbal abuse I took during those years. Personally, I don't remember ever seeing a quarterback take a beating like Archie Manning did. That was enough trama for me by itself. I hope a good lawyer reads this!

All seemed to be going pretty well for the Saints until this Voodoo priestess placed a curse on the Saints by sacrificing a goat. A team can overcome a lot, but there's no way you can overcome a goat. It's true. The goat was the 12th player on the field for the opposition. Whenever the Saints were making a late fourth quarter drive to win the game, that's when the goat would come into action. I once saw Manning toss a long pass, only to have the goat run halfway across the field, intercept the pass and return it for a touchdown to end the Saint's playoff hopes. Heck, with all the great plays that goat made, it should be enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Will the Goat return this year? All of us Saints fans know it will. We're waiting for the Saints to get in the playoffs so once again the Heralded Goat can dash the Saint's hope for a Superbowl year.

Here's my prediction. The Saints get close until a hoof mark appears on Drew Brees' arm, taking him out for the season. Then the Saints return to form (losing) and ruin a playoff year.

So, look for a deep slide for the Saints in the next few games as the Goat returns to the field.
