Vegas Street Fight Tournament -- A Fabulous Success!

I'm not kidding. Clark County Chess was the number one show on ChessCube last night with 245 players participating from all over the world. Ladies and Gentlemen (if I may use the word, Gentlemen, "loosely"), Clark County Chess Club took on the World and one of our members came in third place! Yo homie that's representing. Congratulations to VinnyRoo, AKA "Mr Believer" for wiping out all comers and being undefeated. He prayed to God for victory before the game and his prayers were answered. God saved him in two games against me. He beat with fair and square in the first game...if you consider it fair that I had to beat God and him to win. I got to play him again and this time it was me visiting evil upon this do-gooder only to have God intervene and cut the tournament short as I was about to announce mate!

Let's be real though. Vinny Roo played weaker competition than me. The average rating of his opponents was 1583 whereas the average rating of my opponents was 1667. I was playing all the sandbagging GM wannabees when Mr Believer was "moping up" in the basement. I guarantee if I played his level of competition I would have came in higher than first place, I guarantee!

Here's the game that didn't count. God threw a penalty flag on this one! It was me absolutely demolishing VinnyRoo, AKA Mr. Believer. If he would have resigned like a good sport I would have been catapulted very high in the tournament. The tournament ran out of time and stopped before I could show him the power of evil!

I came in a respectible 61st place. My consecutive winning streak was 5 games! My first five games was like "a knife going through hot butter!"

This is me getting smacked around by Mr. Believer of the Clark Co. Club. Seeing that he came in 3rd place, I don't feel that bad losing this, but I would have my revenge!

My opponent in the following game resigned as I announced mate in 45!
