Back in the late 1960s, my family and I were watching the Dean Martin show on television. After the show was over, my sister begin helping my mother to clean the kitchen after our meal. I left the room and walked down a long hallway to my sister's bedroom. I sat down on my sister's bed, facing the closet. The closet door opened and my sister was on her knees and looking at me with a sinister smile. I'll never forget that look. There's no way it could have been my sister because there's only one way to get to the room, down the long hallway. At the time I assumed it was a ghost or demon who took the form of my sister. At the time we did have a lot of paranormal activity occurring in the house. If anyone requests (comments) then I'll write some more articles on the paranormal activity in our home in the late 1960s and early 1970s.
Only yesterday I was reading a ghost hunting book. It described a story of a husband and wife who were experiencing paranormal activity. A doppleganger of his wife often showed up in the man's home.
A doppleganger is a ghost or entity that takes the duplicate form of a living person. Now I realize that I probably saw my sister's doppleganger. It is said that if a person sees his or her doppleganger that they both will die.
I remember back in 1997 when I lived in Korea. It seemed a look alike was making life hell for me. Women often gave me very dirty looks and one even ran up to me screaming "You've ruined my life!" My friend witnessed this and said, "Paul, is there something you would like to tell me?" I said, "Yes, I never saw that woman before in my life. I wonder what her problem was?" Could this have been my doppleganger? I don't know. For all I know it was a guy who closely resembled me. I have one thing to say to him, "Thanks for ruining my sex life for a year!"
If you would have asked me last week if I believed in Dopplegangers then I would have said, "Maybe not." But now, after reading about it, I believe it. Anything is possible in this strange universe of ours.
cheers
Paul
