The Alekhine Defence is a good weapon for counterattacking players. Many White players underestimate this opening and try to "blow it out of the water." That's a dangerous thing to do against a player who knows how to play this defence. Here are a few examples:

In the game below my opponent played the Exchange Variation, exchanging a win for a loss! My opponent was a 1777 player but seemed to be surprised when facing this opening.
