Chess Grammy Award?

If I continue to play Yoseph Debesai and Michael Thurber I might have enough material for a Greatest Hits collection. Who knows maybe I will be nominated for a Chess Grammy award.

I'm playing Black against Yoseph Debesai in the Fool's Mate Open in April 2009. The song (game) is appropriately titled, Stayin Alive.

Black to move? What is the best move?

In the future (with requests of course) I hope to you show some "land mine" moves against Mike "Talk" Thurber. First, I'll have to clear it with the company that produces this blog due to the extreme violent and graphic nature of my moves.

Cheers

Paul

  2. Great, Juan! That's one way to do it. I did it another way. I'll see if anyone else can see how I did it.

  4. Yes, that's how I played it. I've been working on improving my tactical ability, but there's other weak areas of my game. In the last month I feel that my tactical ability has really improved. I purchases a great book titled, "Understanding Chess Tactics." Its not about just doing puzzles, but understanding tactics. That's what is so great about the book. cheers
